Since 2021, OMAL has become Società Benefit (Benefit Corporation).
Benefit Corporations are organizations that operate with the goal of generating a positive impact on society and the environment, along with financial profit. These companies integrate Corporate Social Responsibility into their business model, adopting sustainable and transparent practices:
In the Company Charter, we identified three specific Common Benefit purposes that we have chosen to pursue in conducting our business activities. These goals were defined with the intent to generate profitability, create profits, and contribute to the well-being of people, the community, and the region in which we operate. Our aspiration, in fact, is to consistently integrate all relevant aspects of sustainability into our daily activities, in alignment with the most virtuous and progressive companies in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Purpose I
To invest in product and process innovation so as to ensure the right balance between man and the environment and build a better world for future generations.
Purpose II
To promote training and professional fulfilment, and encourage socialisation and participation in the community by supporting social and cultural recreational proposals, associative activities and sports practices.
Purpose III
To create an inclusive and purposeful working environment that ensures rights and duties, protects health and safety and supports corporate welfare measures.
The Agenda 2030 consists of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are part of a broader action plan comprising 169 targets or milestones associated with them, to be achieved in the environmental, economic, and social domains by 2030. It is a global challenge as these goals concern and involve all countries and components of society: from private businesses to the public sector, from civil society to information and cultural operators.
We have chosen to take up this challenge by focusing our attention on material issues that we consider priorities and identifying a preliminary set of sustainability goals. At the same time, we have embarked on a path of increasingly close engagement with suppliers and collaborators to achieve results for the common good.
To solidify our approach to sustainable business, we have therefore decided to adopt and pursue specific goals (3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16). For a more in-depth understanding, we invite you to read our sustainability reports.
