ETHICS AND SOCIAL

Ethics in OMAL is a manifesto in which the company firmly believes.

The company sees itself as one of the actors of the community in which it operates and has to insert and coordinate itself in order to work at best. To do this, OMAL undertook a structural work path dedicated to the theme of Social Innovation as a driver for the improvement of its own corporate and organisational performances. Being aware that it is part of a bigger community does not mean viewing itself objectively, but instead optimising its own impacts by coordinating itself with other stakeholders at local and international levels, and avoiding working in a silos structure.

From the Greek word «ethos» it stands for social customs, The behaviour of a certain society.  

For OMAL ethics is a code of conduct that positively impacts on the entire company.

It is a choice and its adhesion to clear and shared guiding principles which affects PEOPLE, PARTNERS and THE COMMUNITY. For each of these we apply a general principle and programmatic points.

OMAL requires its own staff to act with integrity and responsibility, in respect of the opinion and beliefs of the others. Likewise, OMAL respects the liberty of the employees in expressing their own ideas and standpoints, since it is only by sharing different opinions that we can really work in an enriching environment, where professionals can improve their own skills.

In OMAL there is great respect for the national and international laws related to products, production processes and corporate practices. Since our company works at global level, the choice of its business partners should be coherent with the corporate strategy.

Well aware of the economic (and finance) markets and though acknowledging the complexity of such, we remain coherent to the credibility and reputation which OMAL has built in the market throughout the years.

Therefore, we carefully choose our business partners and the relationships we build with them, whether they are: clients, distributors, suppliers, agents, consultants or anyone acting on behalf of OMAL. Our code of ethics with its programmatic points demonstrates this.

We want to live in a company that can share know-how and good practices amid all the different actors who carry out their own work with a particular eye on ethical values. This is the reason we are more than happy to communicate with transparency about our conduct, in the hope that it can prove that the combination of equity and business is not just a slogan.
